This resource presents best practice guidelines for creating a colloborative organisation whose primary goal is the preservation of local community audiovisual heritage. It was produced by one such organisation, the Observatori d’Arxius i Televisions Locals which was formed by four archive and local television organisations in Catalonia and Andorra. Based on their successful approach, this publication proposes recommended objectives, scope, initial considerations, benefits, members, professional profiles, fundamental steps and concrete actions such an organisation should consider.
